Abigail Ward is an artist, music producer, DJ, writer, broadcaster and podcast producer.
She makes music under the name Ghoßt Assembly.
She enjoys finding innovative ways to tell stories, often with the aim of disrupting dominant historical narratives. Her work explores queer politics and protest, underground club culture, neurodiversity and isolation. She is interested in the dancefloor as a site of resistance and seeks to challenge the notion of club music as ‘throwaway’.
Abigail draws particular inspiration from dub reggae (the studio-as-instrument); the collage work of Linder Sterling; The KLF’s comms-as-art-terrorism; and ZTT Records – “a radiant obstacle in the path of the obvious”.
She has a strong desire to create artistic connectedness and community outside of the clutches of social media.
