I was chuffed to little mint balls when one of my favourite DJs/label owners/all-round ultimate fanatical music heads, Brian-Not-Brian, asked me to do a mix for his Going Good imprint. I wanted to make something very free, a bit weird and a bit wild, so I didn’t overthink it, just let it wander. Then I bounced it to an old TDK Ferric 90 cassette. Taking the cellophane off the tape gave me a massive Proustian rush. Turn up the HISS! This is a Dolby free zone!
